Even if you are training, trying to lose weight or build muscles - you can still go out for a yummy meals out.
YESSSS you can!
You're still allowed to go out to a restaurant orenjoy yourself with some take away.
But you will need to be very conscious about your food choices if you have a certain goal in mind. That doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy the experience.
Accept that you will not be able to control your food environment completely.
TIP #1
Plan ahead, you should know that this meal is coming and you have a solid game plan to tackle it. Check the menu before leaving home so you know what to expect.
TIP #2
Don’t get to the restaurant feeling ravenous – your hunger will cause you to overeat. Opt for a small protein snack before getting to the restaurant.
TIP #3
Look for lean sources of protein where possible: Chicken breast, turkey, white fish, tuna, prawns, eggs, tofu, beansetc. Ask for your protein to be grilled, not fried if possible.
TIP #4
Stick to low-Calorie drinks e.g. sparkling water or diet soda, zero coke, diet lemonade, diet tonic etc.
TIP #5
Practice calorie cycling by increasing the number of calories you have on the day you will be eating out and decreasing your calorie intake Monday-Friday.
